Advent 2025 is here!

This morning has been a reflection on the light of Christ. I am not an early riser. I like my sleep. However, on the rare occasions that I do arise before dawn, there is an excitement about the coming light...to watch and wait for the sun to rise on the horizon and bring color and beauty into the darkness. We are between the first advent... the coming of the Christ Child, and the second... His return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords! As a people who celebrate the birth of the Christ Child, we must also be people who watch and wait for the coming of the King of Kings. We are living in the night, between two comings, and we are awaiting the dawn of New Light! If you feel as though you are in darkness today, know that the light is coming. Psalm 139:11-12 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me," even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you.

Let us wake up and keep watch! Unfathomable light is on the horizon!
