What Am I Seeking?

Recently, one of the lenses fell out of my glasses. I was carrying something from the garage into the house, and my lens just fell to the floor. That moment reminded me just how bad my eyes have gotten. Seeing my need, my husband handed me a glass repair kit ... as if I could see to fix them. He meant well.

Anyway, that brief moment without glasses reminded me that I am not often seeking the things that are of utmost importance. Even when seeking the things of God, I don't necessarily make them my priority. Are you like me? What will it take for us to make seeking Jesus our #1 Priority?

Jesus has promised that if we seek the Kingdom of God FIRST, we won't have need of anything else. He is the only one who can meet our needs and fulfill our longings. Let's make a plan to prioritize our time with Him, building a relationship that will satisfy our souls for all eternity.
